| Mike Murray Sr., Partner and Managing Director Mike Sr. serves as the Managing Director of ECC and brings over 20 years of coaching little league baseball, softball, and basketball. Mike played professionally for the Chicago White Sox after a standout playing career at Union Catholic HS and Kean University. Mike is a member of the Union County Baseball Hall of Fame and has been a longtime advocate of the Union County Baseball Association which supervises baseball leagues for the county youth. Mike has run many coaching clinics for several local little leagues. Having three children that have played baseball and softball at the Division I level and professionally, he has a wealth of knowledge on the recruiting process that is a great benefit to our high school athletes. |

Mike Murray Jr., General Manager In addition to serving as a baseball instructor and Titans team coach, Mike serves as the General Manager at ECC. Mike coordinates the East Coast Titans baseball teams and served as a volunteer assistant coach at Westfield High School last spring. Mike recently retired from baseball after a successful professional career with the San Francisco Giants. Mike was named Northwest Player of the month in July 2011 after hitting .394 in the month. Mike was also a unanimous All-League and All-Star selection for the Giants Class A Affiliate, finishing in the Top 3 in the league in Batting Average, RBI, and Hits. Mike was a four-year starter, catcher, and Captain of the Wake Forest Baseball team, being named twice to the Johnny Bench Award Watch List for the nation’s top catcher in Division 1. Mike won summer league Championships with the Waynesboro Generals in the Valley Baseball League and the Sanford Mainers of the New England Collegiate Baseball League. Mike was an All-League and All-Star game Starter in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League for the Chatham A’s, hitting .347 in his summer on the Cape. Mike was a four-year Varsity starter at Westfield High School, a 2006 HS All-American selection, 2005 and 2006 1st-team All-State selection, 2006 Union County Player of the year, and Three time 1st-team All-Area, All-County, and All-Conference Selection. Mike is a two-time recipient of the Edward Cooper award given annually to the County’s top player, sharing the award each year with fellow ECC instructor Nick Nolan. Mike is WHS All-Time leader in hits, HR, RBI, Runs, 2B, batting average, and lowest strike out percentage. Mike is currently studying for his Master’s Degree in Sports Management at Columbia University. |

Chris Carrano, Head Coach East Coast Titans and Baseball Instructor Chris serves as head coach for EC Titans baseball teams as well as a hitting and infield instructor. Chris is the East Coast Titans Infield Roving Coordinator. Chris received a Rawlings Gold Glove as an Infielder at Kean University and is an outstanding infield instructor. Chris also currently serves as the JV coach at St. Joseph’s HS in Metuchen. Prior to his coaching and instructing career, Chris had a standout-playing career at Kean University. During Chris’ playing career at Kean, the program reached unprecedented success. Chris helped guide his Kean team to a NCAA National Championship in 2007 and 3 NJAC conference championships. Chris spent his college summers playing in the local ABCCL summer league. Chris is a hands on instructor who forces his players to match his intensity during every workout. When Chris is not coaching baseball, he is an aspiring High School teacher. |

Dave Kaplow, Head Coach East Coast Titans and Baseball Instructor Dave serves as a head coach for EC Titans baseball teams. Dave also serves as the head coach for the Kenilworth middle school team. Dave entered the baseball coaching and training realm after a successful playing career at Drew University. Dave made a memorable exit from college baseball, hitting a home run on Senior Day in his final collegiate at-bat. Prior to his career at Drew, Dave was a starter at Westfield High School and helped lead his team to a Union County Tournament Championship in 2006. Dave is currently a teacher in the Kenilworth school system and is studying for a Master’s Degree in Education from St. Peter’s College. |

Armando Sanchez, Strength and Conditioning Coordinator Armando comes to ECC with an extensive background in strength and conditioning. Armando is a former Director of the Parisi Speed Schools and served as a Speed and Strength Coach. Armando was the first Speed and Strength Coach for the Sky Blue Soccer Club in the Women’s Professional Soccer League. He is a founding Partner and Director of Athlete Performance for EM Speed and Power Training. Armando specializes in creating Speed and Strength Programs that are based around increasing overall athletic performance on the field using techniques learned from the best trainers in the sports performance industry. |

Nick Nolan, Head Coach East Coast Titans and Baseball Instructor, Nick Nolan serves as a head coach for East Coast Titan baseball teams and is also a Pitching/Outfield/Hitting instructor for the company. Nick comes to East Coast Conditioning with an extensive and decorated baseball resume. Nick graduated from Kean University after one of the most successful baseball careers in the programs history. Nick led the Kean baseball team to a 2007 National Championship and three New Jersey Athletic Conference Titles. Nick was named New Jersey Athletic Conference Player of the Year as a Junior, hitting .326 with a conference-leading 58 RBI. Nick was a perfect 20-20 in Stolen Bases that season and had an OBP over .400. Prior to his career at Kean, Nick played his scholastic ball at Roselle Catholic. Nick is without question the best player to walk the halls at the Roselle school. Nick was 2005 Union County Player of Year and County Champion, Two-Time All-State selection, Four Time All-County Selection, and pitched Roselle Catholic to three consecutive Union County Championship Games and a Parochial A State Final against perennial power Seton Hall Prep. Nick was a Two-Time Recipient of the Edward R. Cooper Award Given to Union County’s Top Baseball Player, sharing the award on each occasion with fellow ECC instructor and coach Mike Murray. Nick is Roselle Catholic’s All-Time leader in Wins, Strikeouts, ERA, Hits, HR, 2B, and several other categories. |
| Jay Cook, Pitching Instructor, East Coast Titans A four-year letter winner for Montclair State, and subsequently Montclair State’s Pitching Coach for Two Seasons, The East Coast Conditioning Baseball Staff is excited to welcome Jay Cook as a pitching instructor at ECC. Jay served along with ECC Instructor Mike Murray as Volunteer Assistant Coaches at their alma mater Westfield High School this past spring, helping the Blue Devils to their record 13th Union County Title. Jay is a tremendous teacher of the game and gets his players to respond to his training. Jay’s pitching knowledge and ability to relate to his players will make him an outstanding asset to our young pitchers. Jay also has served as an AAU coach and instructor for the Richmond County Baseball Club on Staten Island. During his collegiate career, Cook appeared in 48 games making 28 starts from 2003-2006. Cook was co-captain for the NCAA Boyertown Regional champions posting a 5-4 record with a 3.47 ERA. In 72 innings, the right-hander struck out 36 batters and earned a victory over Franklin and Marshall in the NCAA Boyertown Regional. A scholastic standout at Westfield High School, Cook was a two-time All-County selection and was chosen Second-Team All-State during his career. Jay was named the 2002 Union County Player of the Year and also led the Blue Devils in hitting as a Senior. Jay led the Blue Devils to the 2002 Union County Tournament Championship. Cook completed his degree in Psychology and graduated from Montclair State in May 2007. Jay is currently studying for his Master’s Degree in Education at Montclair State. |

Kevin Loalbo, Head Coach ECC Baseball and Strength and Conditioning Kevin’s diverse athletic background and experiences make him a valuable asset to the ECC Staff. Kevin studied kinesiology at Montclair State University and assists in many of the East Coast Conditioning Strength and Conditioning Programs. Kevin was a graduate of Arthur L. Johnson HS in Clark, where he was a three-sport star and Captain in soccer, basketball, and baseball. Kevin was named Johnson’s outstanding Male athlete as a Senior. Kevin was a standout CF and LHP and serves as an OF instructor for the East Coast Titans. When he isn’t coaching on the diamond, Kevin is an assistant to ECC Basketball Director and Linden High School HC Phil Colicchio, assisting with Basketball Operations. Kevin possesses an outstanding ability to relate to our young athletes as they juggle the responsibilities of competing in multiple sports and budgeting time. |

Zack Clark Zach Clark is making his off-season home at East Coast Conditioning for the 2012-2013 off-season. Zach is a six year minor-league veteran with the Baltimore Orioles. Zach recently completed his most successful season with the Orioles in AA and AAA. Zach was tied for second in all of the minor leagues with fifteen victories on the mound. Zach was named an all-star in AA and was promoted to the Triple AAA Norfolk Tides. Zach posted a 5-2 record and a 1.79 ERA in his stint in AAA. Zach has a career ERA under 3.70 in six minor league seasons and has 49 professional victories. Zach has pitched at the AA or higher in five of his seven seasons. Zach brings extensive knowledge of the nuances of pitching and is excited to share that information with student-athletes at East Coast Conditioning. Zach’s tireless work ethic and attention to pitching detail will be a great benefit to our cohort of pitching lessons. Zach will serve as a pitching roving coordinator for East Coast Titan teams in the Fall/Winter, and will be available for private instruction. |
